Sung Sung and Awi were born in the Chin state of Burma (Myanmar) but met and fell in love in Colorado. On May 9, 2015 they married at a church just outside of Denver.

Their wedding was a beautiful mix of American traditions and Chin culture. The church was filled with family, friends and Chin music sung by the choir. Sung Sung wore an elegant white dress as her father walked her down the aisle to marry Awi.

Later for the reception, Sung Sung and her bridesmaids all changed into traditional Chin dresses adorned in colorful beads. Speeches were translated from Chin to English and with each joke, a moment of delay occurred as the laughter of Americans caught up to the rest of the room.

Though it rained heavily outside, the wedding was warmed with smiles and joy. Sung Sung and Awi make a beautiful and happy couple. See for yourself in the pictures below.
